Autumn BBQ – Day of The Programmer

The Day of The Programmer.

The 13th of September is a special day for celebration because we honor the 256th day of the year known as The Day of The Programmer.

Some of you might already know that this day was proposed by Valentin Balt and Michael Cherviakov, employers of Parallel Technologies, in 2002 while also gathering signatures for a petition to get this day internationally recognized. They day was chosen because it’s the 256th day of the year and it’s the number of distinct values that can be represented with an eight-bit byte.

Because everyone knows that programmers have more fun, the day couldn’t be skipped without a little party in the middle of the week.

The annual Banat IT Autumn BBQ organized by United Business Center in cooperation with Banat IT Association was the best way to meet old and new colleagues, make new friends and get acquainted with other people within this industry. Being the 5th edition already, the event gathered over 500 computer engineers for a fun evening with good food and cold drinks at Fabrika restaurant, Openville.

Infobest couldn’t miss this event, so after shutting down our computers following a productive day at work, we all went down to where the party had already started.

Burgers were deployed, chill drinks were committed resulting in a new UX that everybody was happy about.

A fun night to remember.
